C57BL/6 mouse frozen colon section was fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde (PFA) for ten minutes at room temperature and blocked with 5% FBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Then the section was stained with 5 µg/mL of purified anti-mouse LYPD8 (clone SA024B4) overnight at 4°C followed by 2.5 mg of anti-mouse IgG Alexa Fluor® 488 (green) and Alexa Fluor® 594 anti-mouse CD326/Ep-CAM (clone G8.8) antibody (red) for two hours at room temperature. The image was captured by 10X objective.

Description

Ly6/PLAUR domain containing 8 (Lypd8) is a 100-120 kD, GPI-anchored glycoprotein, a member of the Ly6/PLAUR Family. Lypd8 is highly expressed on epithelial cells from intestinal lumen, where prevents bacterial invasion inhibiting bacterial motility by binding to flagella.

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunohistochemical staining on frozen tissue sections. For immunohistochemistry, a concentration range of 2.5 - 5.0 µg/ml is suggested. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Application Notes

This clone recognizes Lypd8 from BALB/c and C57BL/6 mice.
