Application: |
Flow Cytometry |
Cells used: |
Cell suspensions from mouse lymphoid tissues such as spleen and lymph nodes, (but also peripheral non-lymphoid tissues such as brain, lung, liver, and tumour). |
Brief Protocol: |
We isolated cells from peripheral lymphoid tissues, spleen and lymph nodes, from C57BL/6 mice, and stained them with anti-mouse CD11b-BV711™ antibody. We usually put up to 5 x 10^6 cells in a 50ul volume and add anti-mouse CD11b-BV711™ diluted at 1/1000 final (excellent antibody!!) for 1h at room temperature. |
Results Summary: |
Anti-mouse CD11b-BV711™ antibody provides a strong signal that allows reliable staining to study myeloid cells from various types of mouse tissues. |
Additional Notes: |
Our laboratory has a long lasting interest in immune responses and we have tested many different fluorescent antibodies to detect myeloid cell populations. We choose to use routinely anti-mouse CD11b-BV711™ as this was the best for our combination with more 9 other colours.
Figure shows anti-CD11b BV711™ staining from total splenocytes of C57BL6 mouse. |
