Immunofluorescence of HUVEC cells with (A) mouse IgG1, κ isotype control (Negative, Cat. No. 401402) or (B-D) CD31 antibody (Clone P2B1). Alexa Fluor® 488 (Green) Goat anti-Mouse IgG (Cat. No. 405319) was used as secondary antibody. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue, Cat. No. 422801). The image was captured with a 60X objective using KEYENCE BZ-X700 fluorescence microscope. Exposure time (Seconds) for (A) is 1/15, and (B-D) is 1/30. Concentrations for (A, B) is 2 µg/ml, (C) is 1 µg/ml and (D) is 0.5 µg/ml.

Description

PECAM (platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule) is expressed on activated T-cells and endothelial cells and is also known as CD31. The protein is involved in transmigration of leukocytes across endothelium during inflammation. P2B1 activates the binding of human T-lymphocytes to endothelial cells.

Concentration
The concentration is not quantified as this product is sold as undiluted crude mouse ascites fluid. The concentration might vary from lot-to-lot and an estimated concentration would be 1-3 mg/ml.
Storage & Handling
Store at -20°C. Upon initial thawing, apportion into working aliquots and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to prevent denaturing the antibody. For long-term storage, keep the antibody at -80°C.
Application

IHC-F - Quality tested
ICC, WB, IP - Verified

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunohistochemical staining on frozen tissue sections. For immunohistochemistry, a dilution range of 1:500 - 1:1000 is suggested. For immunocytochemistry, a range of 1:250 - 1:500 is recommended. For Western blotting, the suggested use of this reagent is 1:1000 dilution. For immunoprecipitation, the suggested use of this reagent is 1:1000 dilution. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Application Notes

This antibody is effective in immunoblotting, immunocytochemistry (ICC), immunoprecipitation (IP) and immunohistochemistry (IHC).
