Description

CD103, also known as Integrin αE or integrin αIEL, is a single pass transmembrane protein composed by two chains, heavy and light, linked by a disulfide bond. It is expressed in the cell surface as an αE/β7 heterodimer. CD103 mediates adhesion of intraepithelial T cells (IEL) to the epithelium. CD103 is expressed by IEL, effector and memory Tregs, and dendritic cells and their immediate precursors. E-cadherin is the ligand for CD103.

FC - Quality tested

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 1.0 µg per million cells in 100 µl volume. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Application Notes

Additional reported applications (for the relevant formats) include: immunohistochemical staining of frozen skin and intestine epithelium1,4, immunocytochemical staining of cytospin preparations4, and Western blot1.
