M2-7C10_PURE_MART-1_Antibody_1_051618
IHC staining of purified anti-MART-1 antibody (clone M2-7C10) on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded human melanoma tissue. Following Retrieve-All Antigen Unmasking System 3: Acidic, 10X, (Cat. No. 927801), the primary antibody was tested at 1:100 dilution overnight at 4°C, followed by incubation with Alexa Fluor® 594 anti-mouse IgG (Cat. No. 405326) for 1 hour at room temperature. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI. The image was captured with a 40X objective. Scale bar: 50 µm

Application

IHC-P - Quality tested

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded immunohistochemical staining. For immunohistochemistry, a dilution between 1:40 - 1:100 is suggested. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Application Notes

This antibody is effective in immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue (IHC-P).

This antibody recognizes MART-1 (Melan-A) [MART1, MART 1] an 18kD transmembrane protein that is expressed in cells of melanocytic lineage. MART-1 is expressed by a large proportion of melanomas and by melanoma cell lines.

In Immunohistochemistry citrate retrieval has also been verified for use with this clone.

Additional Product Notes

Please note, this product (Cat. No. 917901) is sold in concentrated format. For the pre-diluted format of this product, please see Cat. No. 917902.
