Total lysates (15µg protein) from HeLa (Lane 1), 20nM scrambled siRNA (lane 2), 5nM (Lane 3)and 20nM (Lane 4) TFIIB siRNA treated HeLa cells by electrophoresis (4-12% Bis-Tris gel), transferred to nitrocellulose, and probed with 1:500 diluted (1µg/mL) purified anti-TFIIB antibody, clone IIB8 (upper). Proteins were visualized using 1:3000 diluted HRP goat anti-mouse IgG secondary antibody (clone Poly4053) and chemiluminescence detection. Direct-Blot™ HRP anti-β-actin antibody (1:2000 diluted, clone 2F1-1) was used as a loading control (lower). Lane M is the MW ladder. -

WB - Quality tested
FA, Gel Supershift, IP - Reported in the literature, not verified in house - Recommended Usage
-
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. For Western blotting, the suggested use of this reagent is 0.5 - 2.0 µg/ml. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
- Application Notes
-
This antibody recognizes Softag 3 epitope tagged proteins and is a human transcription factor. Clone IIB8 recognizes epitope 52-105 (TQDPSRVG). Nonspecific bands over 250kDa may be observed in some cell lysates.
Additional reported applications (for the relevant formats) include: functional assay, gel supershift, and immunoprecipatation. - Application References
