Mouse testicular tissue was formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded, prior to sectioning. After deparaffination and antigen retrieval with sodium citrate pH 6, the sample was stained overnight with anti-mouse TEX101 (clone TX5.2) antibody at 10 µg/ml followed by detection using BioLegend’s Ultra Streptavidin (USA) HRP Detection Kit.

Description

Testis-expressed sequence 101 (TEX101), is a 38 kD GPI-anchored membrane protein, expressed by testicular germ cells and is an essential factor for the formation of fertile spermatozoa. TEX101 associates with ACE, ADAM3 and Ly6K; and it seems to stabilize ADAM3 from protease digestion by ACE.

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 1.0 µg per million cells in 100 µL volume. For formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded immunohistochemical staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 1.0 - 10 µg/ml. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
