C57BL/6 mouse frozen spleen section was fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde (PFA) for 10 minutes at room temperature and blocked with 5% FBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Then the section was stained with 5 µg/ml of Purified CD8b.2 (clone 53-5.8) at 4°C overnight. The staining was followed by 5 µg/ml anti-Rat IgG1 (clone MRG1-58) Alexa Fluor® 594 (red) as a secondary, and 5 µg/ml of B220 (clone RA3-6B2) Alexa Fluor® 488(green) at room temperature for 2 hours. The image was captured by 10X objective.

    HeLa cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes, permeabilized with MeOH for 10 minutes, and blocked with 5% FBS for 1 hour. Cells were then stained with 5.0 µg/mL of purified rat anti-NR1D2 antibody (Cat. No. 689402) overnight at 4°C, followed by incubation with Alexa Fluor® 594 goat anti-rat IgG1 (clone MRG1-58) at 2.5 µg/mL. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue, panel A) (Cat. No. 422801). The images were captured with a 40X objective. Scale bar = 50 µm

Description

The MRG1-58 monoclonal antibody reacts with rat immunoglobulin G1 (IgG1) in all tested rat strains (Lou, Lou/Ws1/M, Lewis, Wistar, DA, Sprague-Dawley). It does not react with other isotypes. The MRG1-58 monoclonal antibody may be used as primary or secondary reagent for ELISA or immunofluorescent analysis.

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunohistochemical staining on frozen tissue sections. For immunohistochemistry, a concentration range of 2.5 - 10 µg/mL is suggested. For immunocytochemistry, a concentration range of 1.0 - 5.0 μg/mL is recommended. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

* Alexa Fluor® 594 has an excitation maximum of 590 nm, and a maximum emission of 617 nm.
