CD44 isoform 9, also known as CD44v9, is a CD44 isofom consisting of exons 1-5, 13 (v9) and 15 to 19, product of alternative splicing. CD44v9 is expressed by cancer stem cells, epithelial-type carcinomas, subsets of monocytes and subsets of lymphocytes; have a role in tumor initiation, maintenance and metastasis of cancer cells. CD44v9 interacts with the glutamate-cystine transporter xCT, increasing reduced glutathione and contributing to the ROS resistance of cancer cells, and is a potential predictive marker for recurrence of some cancers and a potential therapeutic target.Product Details

IHC-P - Quality tested
- Recommended Usage
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded immunohistochemical staining. For immunohistochemistry, a concentration range of 5.0 - 10 µg/ml is suggested. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
