Multiplex immunoassays allow researchers to quantify multiple soluble analytes simultaneously in biological samples. This approach enables coverage of a wide range of soluble markers for immunology, growth factors, and metabolism. As such, it is an excellent solution for studies ranging from cancer research to the hypercytokinemia induced by pathogens like SARS-CoV-2.
BioLegend’s LEGENDplex™ bead-based immunoassays use a flow cytometer for multiplex investigations. The assay utilizes the same basic principles of sandwich immunoassays, whereby a soluble analyte is captured between two antibodies. LEGENDplex™ kits are provided with predefined panels, ranging from 3 to 13 specificities, or researchers can mix and match any subset within predefined panels to suit their needs. Custom options are also available. Currently, reactivites include human, mouse, rat, and non-human primate species (Rhesus and Cynomolgus). Panels are carefully selected for important biomarkers that are often analyzed together in a set. Free, cloud-based software is available for analysis as well.
Join us to review the use of LEGENDplex™ immunoassays for multiplexing. We will discuss technical considerations, collaborator data, new products in development, and more.
