Description

SIR1, SIR2, SIR3, and SIR4 are proteins that are required for transcriptional repression of the silent mating type loci, HML and HMR. SIR2, SIR3, and SIR4 proteins repress multiple loci by modulating chromatin structure, which involves compaction of chromatin fiber into a more condensed form.

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. To reconstitute, add 100 µl of ddH2O to the tube containing antibody and mix to dissolve. For Western blotting, the suggested dilution is 1:1000 after reconstitution. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
