Description

Calcium/Calmodulin-Dependent Serine Protein Kinase (CASK) is a multidomain scaffolding protein with a role in synaptic transmembrane protein anchoring and ion channel trafficking. It contributes to neural development and regulation of gene expression via interaction with the transcription factor TBR1. It binds to cell-surface proteins, including amyloid precursor protein, neurexins and syndecans.

This monoclonal antibody was raised against a fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 318-415 of rat CASK.

This antibody is provided in 50% glycerol in aqueous buffered solutions with preservatives.

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. For Western blotting, the suggested use of this reagent is 0.5 - 5 µg per ml. For immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue, a concentration range of 2.5 - 10 µg/ml is suggested. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
