Purified anti-mouse IFNAR-1
Overall: | Product Quality: | Ease of Use:
Not much success in the species tested. |
Experimental Design |
Application: | Western Blotting |
Cells used: | C57BL/6 and Peromyscus cells |
Brief Protocol: | I ran cell lysates on a gel and blotted for the presence of IFNAR1 in my cells of interest. I tested the antibody at various dilutions: 1:1000, 1:500 and 1:200. |
Results Summary: | This antibody did not detect IFNAR1 in the cells I tested, which I find surprising because I expected to detect protein in the control (C57BL/6) cells. |
Additional Notes: | I knew that I was taking a chance with the peromyscus cells because the protein may be so different between both species that the antibodies wouldn't work. However, I expected to detect IFNAR1 in the C57BL/6 cells. |
