Epidermal cells were stained for flow cytometric analysis.
Experimental Design

Application: Flow cytometry
Cells used: Mouse epidermal cells
Brief Protocol: Epidermis and dermis were separated using trypsin. Epidermis was then digested with trypsin. Cell suspensions were filtered and incubated in complete RPMI media overnight prior to staining with anti-mouse CD11b-Brilliant Violet 421 the following day for use in a flow cytometry experiment.
Results Summary: Specific populations of cells in the epidermis stained positive for this antibody.

Trypsin treatment of samples can affect some epitopes, making it difficult for antibodies to recognize them.
