W17242A_PE_GATA2_Antibody_1_043020
C57BL/6 mouse bone marrow hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells were isolated using the MojoSort™ Mouse Hematopoietic Progenitor Cell Isolation Kit. Isolated cells were then surface stained with CD117 APC before being treated with True-Nuclear™ Transcription Factor Buffer Set. Treated cells were then intracellularly stained with GATA2 (clone W17242A) PE (left) or rat IgG2b, κ PE isotype control (right).

Description

GATA2 is a member of the GATA transription factor family. Mutations in GATA2 lead to impaired development and differentiation of hematopoietic  lineages, including dendritic cells, monocytes, B cells, and natural killer cells. Over the course of differentiation, GATA2 activates expression of the functionally distinct GATA1; promoter-occupied GATA2 is replaced/exhanged at certain promoters with the GATA1 transcription factor, a process known as the GATA switch.
