Streptavidin-AKP
405211 1 ml $110.00
Clone: Streptavidin
Formulation: HEPES buffer containing 1mM Mg2+, 0.1mM Zn2+, 0.09% sodium azide pH 7.5 and 0.1% BSA added as stabilizer.
Preparation: Streptavidin is conjugated with AKP under optimal conditions. The solution is free of unconjugated AKP and unconjugated Streptavidin.
Storage & Handling: The streptavidin-AKP solution should be stored undiluted at 4°C. Do not freeze.
Application: ELISA - Quality Tested
ELISPOT*,WB* - *This application has been reported.
Recommended Usage: Each lot of this Streptavidin-AKP is quality control tested by ELISA assay. For ELISA or Western blot analysis, the reagent should be titrated between 1:200 - 1:2000 to determine optimal conditions. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Application
Notes:
Streptavidin-AKP is useful as a second step reagent for indirect enzymatic labelling, in conjunction with biotinylated primary antibodies. Sav-AKP is recommended for ELISA and Western blotting, when used with the relevant substrate system.

Description:

Streptavidin binds to biotin with high affinity. Streptavidin-AKP is useful for detecting biotinylated antibodies, e.g., in ELISA, ELISPOT, IHC or Western blotting. For ELISA applications, AKP will act on soluble substrates, such as pNPP, to yield a colorimetric reaction. For ELISPOT or Western blotting applications, AKP will act on precipitating substrates, such as NBT/BCIP, to yield a colorimetric reaction.

Other Names: Streptavidin-Alkaline Phosphatase, SAv-AKP
