Recombinant Mouse IL-10 (ELISA Std.)
575809 4 pack $80.00

Product Details

Formulation: Lyophilized from PBS with BSA carrier protein and 0.09% NaN3
Storage & Handling: Upon receipt, store unopened vials at 4°C immediately and use within 12 months from date of receipt. Prior to use, reconstitute the lyophilized powder with 0.2 ml of PBS containing a carrier protein (e.g., 1% BSA, protease free), pH7.4. Re-cap vial, vortex. Allow the reconstituted standard to sit at room temperature for 15 minutes, vortex again to mix completely. The reconstituted standard stock solution can be aliquoted into polypropylene vials and stored at -70°C for up to one month. Do not re-use diluted standards. Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles.
Application:

ELISA

Recommended Usage:

ELISA with capture antibody clone JES5-2A5 (Cat. No. 504901) and detection antibody clone JES5-16E3 (Cat. No. 505003) with an approximate standard range from 30 pg/mL to 4 ng/mL.

Description:

IL-10 was originally described as Cytokine Synthesis Inhibitory Factor (CSIF) by virtue of its ability to inhibit cytokine production by Th1 clones. IL-10 shares over 80% sequence homology with the Epstein-Barr virus protein BCRFI. The biological activities of IL-10 include inhibition of macrophage-mediated cytokine synthesis, suppression of the delayed type hypersensitivity response, and stimulation of the Th2 cell response, which results in elevated antibody production. Recombinant mouse IL-10 is a 18.5 kD protein containing 160 amino acids.

Other Names: Interleukin-10, Cytokine synthesis inhibitory factor (CSIF), B cell derived T cell growth factor (B-TCGF), T cell growth inhibitory factor (TGIF)
Structure: Acid-labile cytokine; dimer
Regulation: Downregulated by IL-4, IL-10
Cellular Sources: Activated CD8+ T cells, TH0, TH2 subset of CD4+ T cells, Ly-1+ B cells, monocytes, macrophages, keratinocytes
Cellular Targets: T cells, B cells, mast cells, macrophages
Receptors: IL-10R (CDw210)
Bioactivity/Activities: Inhibits IFN-γ, TNF-β, IL-2 production by TH1 clones; inhibits macrophage-mediated IL-1, IL-6, TNF-α synthesis; suppresses delayed type hypersensitivity response; stimulates TH2 cell response; mast cell proliferation i
