The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography.
Concentration:
0.5 mg/ml
Storage & Handling:
The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4 °C.
Application:
FC - Quality tested IP*, WB3*, IHC(Frozen)* - *This application has been reported in the literature.
Recommended Usage:
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 0.5 µg per 106 cells in 100 µl volume or 100 µl of whole blood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Application Notes:
Additional reported applications (for the relevant formats) include: immunoprecipitation, Westrn blotting3, induction of cytokine production3, and immunohistochemical staining of acetone-fixed frozen tissue sections. The LEAF™ purified antibody (Endotoxin <0.1 EU/μg, Azide-Free, 0.2 μm sterile-filtered) is recommended for functional assays (Cat. No. 303410).

Human peripheral blood lymphocytes, monocytes and granulocytes stained with purified WM53, followed by anti-mouse IgGs FITC
Description:
CD33 is a 67 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as Siglec-3, gp67, and p67. It is a sialoadhesion immunoglobulin superfamily member expressed on myeloid progenitors, monocytes, granulocytes, dendritic cells and mast cells. CD33 is absent on normal platelets, lymphocytes, erythrocytes and hematopoietic stem cells. CD33 functions as a sialic acid-dependent cell adhesion molecule with carbohydrate/lectin binding activity.
Other Names:
Siglec-3, gp67, p67
Structure:
Ig superfamily, sialoadhesins, type I glycoprotein, 67 kD
