Western blot analysis of extracts from Hela (lane 1) and NIH3T3 cells (lane 2), using anti-eIF3J, Poly6384.
Description:
The eukaryotic translation initiation factor-3 (eIF3) is a 700 kD complex comprised of at least 13 subunits, including eIF3J, which is essential for translation.eIF3 directly binds to the 40S ribosomal subunit and promotes the formation of the 40S preinitiation complex by promoting the binding of methionyl-tRNA and mRNA. eIF3J is thought to function in part by regulating access of the mRNA-binding cleft in response to initiation factor binding.Poly6384 is useful for western blot applications.
