Clone: HB15e
Isotype: Mouse IgG1, κ
Reactivity: Human, Cross-Reactivity*: Chimpanzee, Baboon, Cynomolgus, Rhesus
Formulation: Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) BSA (origin USA).
Preparation: The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography, and conjugated with PE/Cy5 under optimal conditions. The solution is free of unconjugated PE/Cy5 and unconjugated antibody.
Storage & Handling: The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4°C and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.
Application: FC
Recommended Usage: Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 20 µl per million cells or 20 µl per 100 µl of whole blood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Monocyte-derived dendritic cells (induced with GM-CSF+IL-4+TNF-?) stained with HB15e PE/Cy5

Description: CD83 is a 43 kD single chain type I glycoprotein also known as HB15. A member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, CD83 is expressed on a subset of dendritic cells, Langerhans cells, and weakly on activated lymphocytes. Although CD83 is thought to play a role in antigen presentation and/or lymphocyte activation, the precise function of this protein is unknown. CD83 is considered to be a useful marker for mature dendritic cells.
Other Names: HB15
Structure: Ig superfamily, single chain transmembrane glycoprotein, 43 kD
Distribution: Dendritic cells, Langerhan cells, activated B and T cells
