BioLegend in San Diego, CA, a leading provider of antibodies and reagents for biomedical research, has been granted ISO 9001:2008 certification for manufacturing and distribution of antibodies, proteins, and chemical reagents for research use, and ISO 13485:2003 certification for manufacture and distribution of antibodies, proteins, and chemical reagents for use in the medical device industry.
ISO 9001:2008 specifies international standards for a quality management system where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and regulatory requirements and its aim to enhance customer satisfaction, including processes for continual improvement.
ISO 13485:2003 certification is globally recognized for establishing a standardized quality management system for the design and manufacture of medical devices that meets both customer and regulatory requirements.

Integrins are transmembrane heterodimer proteins, consisting of an alpha (α) and beta (β) chain. Integrins are mainly known for mediating cell and extracellular matrix adhesion and migration. As such, integrins can play a pervasive role in cancer and tumor metastasis. They are integral in cell growth, division, differentiation, and apoptosis. But, they also play a role in broader biological events, like wound healing and apoptosis.
