Product Details

Clone: Poly4053 (See other available formats)
Isotype: Goat Ig
Reactivity: Mouse
Formulation: Aqueous buffered solution containing a carrier protein and preservatives.
Preparation: The polyclonal antibody was purified from goat antiserum by mouse immunoglobulin affinity chromatography.
Storage & Handling: This product is guaranteed for six months. The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4°C and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.
Application:

ELISA - Quality tested
WB, IHC - Reported in the literature

Recommended Usage:

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by ELISA analysis. Do not use this product beyond the expiration date. For ELISA or Western blot analysis, the reagent should be titrated between 1:2,000 - 1:5,000 to determine optimal conditions. For IHC on tissue sections, the reagent should be titrated between 1:500 - 1:2000 to determine optimal conditions. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application. Avoid using diluent solutions containg sodium azide. Sodium azide is an inhibitor of horseradish peroxidase.

Notes:

This HRP conjugated polyclonal goat anti-mouse IgG antibody is useful for ELISA and Western blotting applications.

This polyclonal goat anti-mouse IgG antibody reacts with the heavy chains of mouse IgG and with the light chains common to most mouse immunoglobulins. No cross-reactivity has been detected against non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. This antibody has been solid-phase absorbed to ensure minimal cross-reaction with rat, human, bovine, horse, and rabbit immunoglobulins, but it may cross-react with other subclasses of mouse immunoglobulins.

Description:

IgG antibodies are approximately 150 kD in size, with each heavy chain at 50 kD and each light chain at 25 kD. IgG is the most abundant serum immunoglobulin found in circulation. In humans, mice, and rats, there have been 4 IgG subclasses identified and distinguished by the number of disulfide bonds and hinge region of each subclass (IgG1, IgG2, IgG3, and IgG4).
