Product Details

Clone: Poly4053
Isotype: Goat Ig
Reactivity: Mouse
Formulation: Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) BSA (origin USA).
Preparation: The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography, and conjugated with Brilliant Violet 421™ under optimal conditions. The solution is free of unconjugated Brilliant Violet 421™ and unconjugated antibody.
Storage & Handling: The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4°C and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.
Application:

FC, IF - Quality tested

Recommended Usage:

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescence staining. For IF staining, the suggested dilution of this reagent is 1:20 - 1:50. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Brilliant Violet 421™ excites at 405 nm and emits at 421 nm. The standard bandpass filter 450/50 nm is recommended for detection. Brilliant Violet 421™ is a trademark of Sirigen Group Ltd.

Application
Notes:

This conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG antibody is useful for direct immunofluorescent staining or as a second step reagent for indirect immunofluorescent staining when used in conjunction with primary antibodies.

Brilliant Violet 421™ is suitable for confocal microscopy with a 405 or 407 nm laser, but it may not be optimal for widefield microscopy applications, such as epi- or trans-illuminating systems that use either Xenon or Mercury arc lamps or derivatives of those halides due to lack of commercially available optimized filter options that maximize the spectral characteristics of BV421.

293E cells were stained with
293E cells were stained with purified anti-tubulin-alpha (clone TU-01) and then BV421™ anti-mouse IgG (clone Poly4053)(blue) as the secondary antibody. Nuclei were stained with propidium iodide (red).

Human peripheral blood lymphocytes were
Human peripheral blood lymphocytes were stained with purified mouse anti-human CD3 (UCHT1), followed by anti-mouse IgG (Poly4053) Brilliant Violet 421™.

Description:

This polyclonal goat anti-mouse IgG antibody reacts with the heavy chains of mouse IgG and with the light chains common to most mouse immunoglobulins. No cross-reactivity has been detected against non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. This antibody has been solid-phase absorbed to ensure minimal cross-reaction with rat, human, bovine, horse, and rabbit immunoglobulins, but it may cross-react with other subclasses of mouse immunoglobulins.
