The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography, and conjugated with biotin under optimal conditions. The solution is free of unconjugated biotin.
Storage & Handling:
The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4°C. Do not freeze.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by ELISA assay. For ELISA detection, dilute 60 µl of the biotinylated anti-human IL-1α in 12 ml of assay diluent for each plate. To obtain a linear standard curve, serial dilutions of human IL-1α protein ranging from 500 to 4 pg/ml are recommended for each ELISA plate. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Application Notes:
ELISA Detection: The biotinylated BH0110 antibody is useful as a detection antibody in a human IL-1α sandwich ELISA assay in combination with purified 364-3B3-14 antibody (Cat. No. 500104) as capture antibody and recombinant human IL-1α (Cat. No. 560101) as the standard. TMB Substrate Solution, BioLegend Cat. No. 421501 is recommended.
Description:
IL-1 refers to two proteins, IL-1α and IL-1β which are the products of distinct genes, but which are recognized by the same cell surface receptors. IL-1α is a potent immuno-modulator which mediates a wide range of immune and inflammatory responses. Recombinant human IL-1α is an 18.0 kD protein containing 159 amino acids.
Upregulated by TNF-α, IFN-α, IFN-β, IFN-γ, bacterial endotoxins, viruses, mitogens, antigens; downregulated by IL-6, lipoproteins, lipids, and α2-macroglobulin
