The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography, and conjugated with Alexa Fluor® 647 under optimal conditions. The solution is free of unconjugated Alexa Fluor® 647 and is formulated for intracellular immunofluorescent staining as negative control.
Concentration:
test sizes: lot-specific; µg size: 0.5 mg/ml
Storage & Handling:
The mouse IgG1, κ isotype control solution should be stored undiluted at 4°C and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.
Each lot of this mouse IgG1, κ isotype control antibody is quality control tested by intracellular immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis as negative control. For test sizes, the suggested use of this reagent for intracellular immunofluorescent staining is 5 µl per 106 cells in 100 µl volume or 5 µl per 100 µl of whole blood. For µg size, use at concentrations comparable to those of the specific antibody of interest.
* Alexa Fluor® 647 has a maximum emission of 668 nm when it is excited at 633nm / 635nm. ** Alexa Fluor® is a registered trademark of Molecular Probes, Inc. Alexa Fluor® dye antibody conjugates are sold under license from Molecular Probes, Inc. for research use only, except for use in combination with microarrays and high content screening, and are covered by pending and issued patents.
The MOPC-21 immunoglobulin is useful as an isotype-matched control (for the relevant formats) for Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry, functional assay, immunofluorescence microscopy, immunocytochemistry and immunofluorescent staining (surface or intracellular) for flow cytometric analysis. The LEAF™ purified antibody (Endotoxin <0.1 EU/μg, Azide-Free, 0.2 μm sterile-filtered) is recommended for functional assays (Cat. No. 400124) as negative control.

Description:
The MOPC-21 immunoglobulin has unknown specificity. The isotype of this antibody is mouse IgG1,κ. This antibody was chosen as an isotype control after screening on a variety of resting, activated, live, and fixed mouse, rat and human tissues.
