FC - Quality tested

Recommended Usage:

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 5 µl per 106 cells in 100 µl volume or 100 µl of whole blood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Description:

STRO-1 is a cell surface antigen recognized by mAb STRO-1. It is expressed by bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells and nucleated erythroid precursors, but not by committed hematopoietic progenitors. In combination with glycophorin A (GPA), STRO-1 is a useful marker for identification of mesenchymal stem cells. It has been reported that STRO-1+/GPA- bone marrow cell subset can be used as a universal stromal feeder layer for hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells. This subset of cells has multipotent to differentiate into fibroblasts, adipocytes, osteoblasts, chondrocytes, and vascular smooth muscle-like cells.
